In this class your dog will learn basic commands as well as household manners. The following skills will be taught:
- Sit - on the first command, with or without treats, until you are released
- Lie Down - same as sit
- Stay - until you are released, with distractions and distance from the owner
- Come - on the first command, from a distance with distractions
- Loose Leash Walking - with distractions
Also taught are "off" for jumping on people, counters, furniture, etc., "leave it" for mouthing and chewing, and "wait" at the doorway.
Beginner obedience class is perfect for puppies and adults dogs who need to learn manners and basic obedience commands. This class is also great for a dog that already knows the basics, but needs to learn to behave out in public around other dogs and people.
