Mark Kane Certified Pet Dog Trainers Canine Good Citizen evaluatorHead trainer and owner Mark Kane, CPDT began training his own dogs in 1998. Mark later apprenticed under the owner of a large dog training company and quickly became one of its busiest and most requested trainers. In 2004 he started his own company, DogSpeak. The name refers to the language of dogs. DogSpeak's purpose is to help dog owners understand this language so they can better communicate with their dogs. While Mark does most of the training, he is assisted by apprentice and professional trainers that share his philosophy and methodology.

Mark is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer through the Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). The CCPDT's certification program is based on humane training practices and the latest scientific knowledge related to dog training. The APDT promotes education and encourages dog-friendly training methods. Mark is also an evaluator for the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program. He has "hands on" trained over 100 dogs in boarding training, has instructed over 300 group class hours and has taught over 2000 private lessons. Mark has worked with numerous high profile clients and their dogs including Jeff Foxworthy, Ron Gant, Gerald Wilkins, and Michael Haynes.

As Mark continues to expand his dog training knowledge and skills by working with competition and agility trainers and attending seminars, his vision for DogSpeak is to continue to foster happy and healthy relationships between dogs and their people.
